“Our wedding in this lovely place was a dream come true.”
Gillian Thomson Guevara
The Chapel Restoration provides a beautiful and unique backdrop for your intimate wedding.
Perched high on the banks of the majestic Hudson River in the quaint, historic village of Cold Spring, NY, the Chapel Restoration boasts spectacular views of the Hudson River and many amenities including nearby access to Metro-North and ample parking. The historic chapel seats up to 94 people, has abundant natural lighting from triple windows on the north and south sides of the chapel and features an antique candelabra for optional candlelight. The (insert year here) Steinway grand piano and antique pipe organ provide ample opportunity for live musical accompaniment to your wedding. The chapel also features state-of-the-art climate control. The Chancery building on the grounds offers two bathrooms, including a spacious dressing suite with makeup mirrors, kitchen, and a meeting area with an elegant stone courtyard for toasts and refreshments.

Wedding and Event Planning
To arrange for a wedding or other event at the chapel, please call 845-265-5537. We suggest that you call as far in advance as possible so that we may accommodate you. If the date you have selected is available, you may, at the same time, make an appointment to visit the site and meet with our Events Coordinator. Weddings are usually scheduled for Saturdays or Sundays but may be held on other days depending on our master calendar. During the most popular months, some may take place on the same day. The building will be opened by our representative one hour before the ceremony to allow for delivery and arrangement of flowers. You will have one hour for the ceremony itself and one hour for rehearsal, usually on the previous afternoon or evening. If you require more time, please let us know. We reserve the right to make an additional charge if rehearsals or weddings exceed the prearranged time. We have no staff so we must rely on you to restore the chapel to its prior condition. Please have a family member or friend assume responsibility for extinguishing candles, removing flowers, and picking up papers and personal belongings.
Musical Instruments
The pipe organ was built expressly for the restored chapel by George Bozeman Jr. and Co. Designed to complement the building both architecturally and musically, its tone was inspired by English and American organs of the type played from the 17th to the 19th centuries. There is also an 1893 ebonized mahogany grand piano made by Steinway & Sons, formerly owned by the Livingston family of New York. We ask that only qualified musicians play these instruments, and we can recommend several. For its protection, the piano may be moved only with permission and nothing other than music placed on it.
Flowers
We suggest you engage a florist as soon as you have confirmed the date of your ceremony. The florist may arrive one hour ahead unless you have made special arrangements with us. Decorations may be placed on the long table at the front of the room, on the deep sills of the two side windows, on the table at the front door and on the inside of the front doors, where hooks are installed. Please remind the florist that nothing may be placed on the Steinway grand piano. Floral arrangements may be positioned outside on the portico and along the path up to the chapel, and vines or flowers may be twined about the iron railings of the steps. To help us preserve this treasured landmark, please advise the florist, or anyone else, that no nails, tacks, staples, sticky tape or other fixatives can be used on walls, pews or other surface, inside or outside. If special cleaning is required as a result of a violation of this policy, or if the building is not left in the same condition as it was found, we reserve the right to bill for cleaning and/or restoration.
Financial Arrangements
A non-refundable donation is required to confirm a wedding reservation. Please note that this donation is tax deductible. For other events, please discuss the donation with the Events Coordinator. Payment may be made by check to The Chapel Reservation, Inc., and returned with an agreement, signed, outlining the conditions of use. All financial arrangements for officiants, musicians, florists, and photographers are your responsibility.
Special Note
In addition to recommending musicians, we can provide information on local florists, restaurants and caterers, accommodations and limousine services. Please visit our Local Links.
