Restoration Roadhouse

Restoration Roadhouse is an indoor/outdoor party with local craft beer and a food truck. The traditional Roadhouse was a stopping place on a well -traveled road where many musicians would pass and entertain the locals on their way to the big city. Restoration Roadhouse aims to revive this tradition and showcase touring Indy musicians from all over the globe, bringing fresh sounds of rock, folk, blues and bluegrass to our local music scene.

Sunny War live at The Chapel Restoration with a view of the Hudson River, local beer by Industrial Arts and a food truck on site.

“…her right thumb plunks the bass part while her forefinger upstrokes notes and chords, leaving the other three fingers unused. A banjo technique, it’s also used by acoustic blues guitarists. Her fingers are long and strong – Robert Johnson hands – in jarring contrast to the waif they’re attached to. The walking bass line sounds like a hammer striking piano keys in perfect meter, while the fills are dynamic flurries – like cluster bombs. I haven’t heard a young guitarist this dexterous and ass-kicking in eons.” – Michael Simmons, L.A Weekly

“The Carter Family for the millennial generation.” – The Boston Globe

“If you like your bluegrass served with a little punch, attitude, grit and gravy, with that busking spirit that was so present and palpable in the early incarnations of Old Crow Medicine Show and made your realize that string band music could be so much more than fuddy-duddy reenactments by crusty ol’ relics, then the Damn Tall Buildings will slide in nice as a welcome edition to your listening rotation. Bluegrass at heart, but pulling from a wide range of influences including swing, ragtime, jazz, and even a hint of contemporary perspective in the songwriting, they offer virtually unmatched energy and enthusiasm, underpinned by intelligent songs that don’t skimp on the infectiousness…” – Savingcountrymusic.com
