NOGA is a twenty-two-year-old singer-songwriter, composer, and creator of interdisciplinary art based in New York. With a foundation of intricate rhythmic grooves interwoven with folk-jazz-inspired melodies, NOGA creates lively and dynamic soundscapes grounded in warm and earthy tones. Born and raised in Beacon, NY in a family of musicians, she comes from a multicultural background and draws inspiration from a wide range of musical genres. She is a graduate of the renowned LaGuardia High School and has been recognized with numerous awards and scholarships, including three national Young Arts awards and the BMI Foundation 2019 Theodora Zavin Scholarship for outstanding achievement in composition. Her song “Stephen Said!” was featured on the Perlman Stage in Stern Auditorium as part of the “A Time Like This: Music For Change” concert at Carnegie Hall. While studying at New England Conservatory, she was commissioned to compose “MOSAIC”, a collection of collaborative interdisciplinary works. NOGA is also an accomplished recording artist, releasing her debut solo EP, “Lady Sun” in July 2023, and more recently, a collection of live recorded songs and videos titled “NOGA live at the Howland Cultural Center”. Beyond her solo career, she has contributed to various projects, including a collaborative album with her family titled “The Cabo Project”, playing bass in folk-artist Lila Blue’s band, performing in Blue’s musical “SEE/UNSEE” at the Lake Lucille Chekhov Project (guitar), and “Jo Lampert & The Butches of The Ancient World’s Constant Craving” at Joe’s Pub (bass, background vocals). She was named a 2024 OneBeat Fellow and has just partaken in a month-long collaborative intensive residency and tour with 25 musicians worldwide. You can find out more about NOGA at nogacabo.com
